10 Secrets about me

I think by the time I’m done with writing down all the quirks and secrets and “about me’s”, all that’s left would be to write down my name, address and telephone number. Lol!

PB was telling me the other evening how he thinks I shouldn’t make myself sound ‘cool’ when I do the tags. Right! Do you really mean to say that telling people I’m afraid of ghosts is cool? Po po! :D So, I’m going to write some ‘uncool’ stuff about me now. Hope you’re satisfied you monster.

Ummm, lets see… there are too many to choose from :D

1) If you ask my family or friends if I’m a possessive person they’ll laugh and probably say “Her? Of COURSE not!” But they’re SO wrong. I am very possessive about certain people. Unbearably so. I just don’t show it out.

2) Shirley and I once locked St. Josephine in the dormitory loo and switched off the light from outside because she used to hit the little kids everyday to vent her frustrations. No one knew she was in there for hours. And, no, we never confessed. I wasn’t much of a masochist back then :D

3) I’m normally a tolerant person (I think). But I have this nasty habit of fighting others' battles for them. I don’t care what people say about me, but if I find anyone being mean to people I love I tend to tell them where they can get off in no uncertain terms and put them in their place with a few choice sarcastic words.

4) When I’m working on a painting I can go on for hours together without eating or talking. That’s the time I’m a bear to live with because I hate it when people call/talk/disturb/breath-next to me.

5) I‘ve puked all over Baby Jesus’ manger once.

Yeah. I was in the 4^th grade and about to come down with a particularly nasty flu (which we didn’t know then of course) when the teachers insisted that I play the archangel Gabriel in the Christmas nativity play. So there I was, suspended in mid air over the manger, looking down from (what felt to me) a great height... and feeling sick to my stomach.

The poor audience... I don’t think their psyche ever recovered from the shock of seeing St. Gabriel stop singing and start puking.

6) When people bullshit with me I like to play dumb. It’s so fun! They’ll earnestly repeat and re-repeat their crap and I’ll probably go “Duh uh” the whole time with lots of “Uh, hon, wazzat again?” “Uh huh uh huh” “Ooh sweetie you’re SO smart” “Poor little me, I know nothing honey buns” thrown in for good measure in a fake-sugar-syrup voice. Some dopes actually lap it up.

7) I smile when I’m happy. I smile when I’m sad. I smile when I’m angry. I smile when I’m mad. I smile when I’m embarrassed. I smile when I’m embarrassing someone. And that is seriously weird because people so often misunderstand what I really feel inside. Like this one time a senior in college tried to corner me behind the PD classroom. He kept saying the most vulgar things and I was so shocked that I could only stand there and… smile. Arrrrrgh! He took it as a sign of encouragement at first. So, still smiling, I was then ‘forced’ to give him a few ‘suggestions’ about what he could do with his vile mouth. THEN he got the point.

8) I find it easy to forgive. But I never ever forget. Which spoils the whole ‘forgiving’ effect in the first place.

9) I am extremely stubborn. Sometimes, even when I know I’m wrong, I won’t give an inch, especially when I’m forced to do something I don’t believe in.

10) I sometimes blurt things without thinking twice.

There was this professor who used to handle our Linguistics and History classes. He was the grossest sickest man ever! Ewck! He’d come to class and sit with his legs wide apart.. and his pant would almost always be unzipped!! Initially we thought he was absent minded but later we came to know through our seniors that he was doing this on purpose.

We were all set to make a formal complaint to the dean when one day he sauntered in with his usual sly grin and sat down. He then went on and on about some king (I forget who). At one point he paused to say with a superior grin “Hah, that man had no balls!”. Not missing a beat I drawled “Yeah yeah YOU should know”, and rather loudly at that. I was horrified the minute the words were out of my mouth. But after that he never came in unzipped.
