HuLa La!

This has been one long month where I’ve been sorely tempted to hide in street corners and trip unsuspecting victims as they walk past. I was even contemplating hanging a sign around my neck saying “Careful, she bites when spoken to.” Seriously!

Anyway, nothing that a few of boxes of sinfully decadent chocolates won’t cure. :D

P.S. a HUGE sorry to those of you who mailed asking me why I wasn’t responding or visiting their blog. :D I was busy being dumb, which, come to think of it, kinda comes easy for me :|

Ahem! Anyway, its high time that I swept away the cobwebs from my quirky niche in cyberworld and changed the ‘ambiance’ of this silly place, innit? And write something even more nonsensical than the usual rubbish? :D

So I thought I’d crib about this hula hoop I’d bought some time back.
How intellectually stimulating, no? :D

I’ve always wanted to learn how to work it, and, finally succumbed to a neon temptation in brilliant orange which beckoned me incessantly from a top self in one of the departmental stores.

Sigh!

And when I got back home I couldn’t wait to get started!

I tried and tried but the darn think kept sinking to the floor as if in utter contempt of me, much to everyone’s delight (but of course!).

N: You look like a shipwrecked clown trying to flag down a passing dolphin.

V: Don’t insult the poor clowns N!

*they guffaw*

Me: Har de har. How funny you guys! I’m going to send this miserable piece of plastic to the hula hoops orphanage it if doesn’t behave! Hmmmpff!

V: Listen, try this; raise your arm upwards, twirl it around in your arm first and then slowly let it descend. Let’s see if that works.

I tried it and N got an eyeful of Hula Hoop as a reward much to her disgust. (I was secretly thrilled :D)

Me: Well, first time’s always hard. I’ll try it again. Watch me carefully, ok? I'll show you how this thing works.

N, S and V moved away to a safer distance. I pretended I didn’t notice. Who needs them anyway?

This time I brought a vase down with a loud crash! Gulp!

Determined me wasn’t fazed though, in spite of the fact that they had moved even further away for protection. V fished her cam out and began filming the debacle.

Bleddy! Insult on top of injury???

Me: Cowards! I will conquer this miserable loop of disobedience. And you shall be sorry you didn’t get to watch. Pfffft!

They only snickered.
Ah well. Some people don’t appreciate perseverance, no?

Well, it’s been a while now. I’ve done some damage around the place, hit the TV more times than I care to keep track of, hit multiple people multiple times and nearly got bitten by my neighbor’s dog. *missed my chance to sue, drat!*.. Well, yeah, ok… I stepped on her first, *ahem*, but that’s another story altogether.

But the darn hoop still refuses to give in!!
That inhuman piece of thankless garbage!
I’m going to resort to Chinese Torture next. And if that fails, then maybe I’ll devise some medieval forms of dismemberment!

Attention peepals: Pictures of the hapless disfigured Hula Hoop will then be sold to interested parties at the price of one Tobleron per snap. Let me know if you’re interested?

Now I’ll go do the “shakey shakey” one more time.. and if it still refuses to give in… then PHAAAAAT! End of one mutant rebellious hoop.
